Removing the base cover
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- To remove the base cover:
- Loosen the 8 (M2.0x6) captive screws that secure the base cover to the system [1].
- Pry the base cover from the recess at the top edge [2] and continue prying throughout the outer sides of the base cover
in clockwise direction to release the base cover.NOTE Use a plastic scribe to pry the base cover from the edges.
- Lift the base cover from the system.
